The undisputed King of Trainers started in 1981 with one John David Sports store in Bury, United Kingdom. In 1983 followed a second store in Manchester and when JD Sports went public it consisted of 56 stores. The British sports- and fashion wear is the owner of several sports- and fashion brands with over 900 stores divided over the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, France, Holland, Malaysia and Belgium.
